Reports are available of all files saved by Version Saver, so it is possible to check that the backup is working as intended.
From the main menu, choose the Lists/ Backed file Lists option
The Backup Reports window displays;
There will be many more files displayed than in our example.
To assist viewing the file list, there are buttons to sort by name, and by date/time, in ascending or descending order.
Right-clicking the mouse on a file name will pop-up a yellow note showing the source directory it was saved from.
What to do if a file you want is not in the list
Check that the drive the file is on is included in Version Saver's list of drives to be backed up
Check that the file extension is included in Version Saver's list of extensions to be backed up
Check that the directory the file is in is NOT included in Version Saver's list of directories excluded from backed up
Check that the directory of the file is not a system directory such as the Windows directory or Recycle bin. Version Saver will not back up these directories.
Check that you are not very low on disc space on the drive where Version Saver is saving files.
Check that the size of the file does not exceed the maximum saved file size that has been configued in Version Saver's main screen.
If the file has been recently created, check that Version Saver has had sufficient time to activate its regular periodic backup and recognise the presence of the new file.
