This page of the wizard is for controlling "Full" backups. These are explained below.

 

• If you are not sure what to do accept the default choices offered and click on the Next button to go to the next page.

 

 

 

 

Version Saver has a special safety feature, known as a "Full Backup". Normally it is only backing up changed versions of data files with the etxensions you have specified. Occasionally you may want to restore a saved version of a file which is not one of the ones you normally save. For this purpose, in a full backup ALL files are saved, regardless of their file extension (Note: that files in excluded directories are still omitted, even in a full backup)

 

• Full Backup (ignoring extensions) - Tick this box if you want full backups
• Every < number > hours - Specify how often full backups should occur. These are much more time consuming than normal backups and will slow your computer slightly for a few minutes while they are occurring. We reccomend an interval of 24 hours.
• Place full backups in a different directory from the regular backup directory - This only matters if you are an advanced user wishing to restore backups manually. If you are we recommend you tick this box as a precautionary measure to make the task easier if you ever need to do it.
• Full Backup path - the path can be changed with the Choose... button.

 

 

• Click on the Next button to go to the next wizard page.
