After Installation
Previous Topic  Next Topic

After Version Saver has been installed, you may notice a lot of hard-drive activity on your computer (if you have a hard drive light on the computer box, it will be flashing a lot).

The reason for the disc activity is that Version Saver is working in the background saving initial versions of the data files in the drives and directories that you specified in the Setup Wizard. Most people have a lot of data files on their computer, hence the hard drive activity. There will be especially an increased amount of activity if you selected the "Full Backup" option in the Setup Wizard.

After the initial versions of files have been saved,  Version Saver will only save data files that have been changed, so the high level of disc activity will subside back to normal from then on.

Day to day running of Version Saver is described on this page.
