This page of the wizard is for stating which drives on your computer should be backed up and if there are any directories on those drives that you don't want backed up.

 

• If you are not sure what to do accept the default choices offered and click on the Next button to go to the next page.

 

 

 

 

Backup Drives - This box lists the drives on which you have work and data files that you want backed up. By default the list contains only drive c. However it is possible you may have other drives you want backed up

 

• Hit the "Add.." button to bring up a dialog where you can choose more drives:

 

 

• The available drives are listed in the drop-down list labelled "Drive".
• Choose a drive from the list, then hit OK to confirm your choice.
• Drives must be added one at a time. The picture below shows the wizard page after an extra drive (drive V) has been added:

 

 

 

 

Exclude these directories - You might not want to back up files on all the directories in a drive. You can specify the directories whose contents you want excluded.

 

• First highlight the drive for which you want to exclude directories, by clicking on the drive name in the "Backup drives" list 
• Click on the Exclude... button to pop up a dialog where you can choose a directory to be excluded:

• Hit on the OK button to confirm your choice.
• Excluded drives must be added one at a time, by repeating this procedure.

 

To view a different drive for which directories are to be excluded

 

• First click on the drive name in the "Backup drives" list to highlight it
• Then click the "Exclude..." button

 

Note that you don't need to manually exclude 'system' directories such as the Windows directory and Recycle Bin, as these are automatically excluded by VersionSaver.

 

 

• Click on the Next button to go to the next wizard page.
